Mission Statement
It is the mission statement of emergency medical response volunteers to be pioneers of community prehospital care.
We strive to unite the healthcare community by being leaders in pre-hospital and inter-community clinical care.
We are committed to providing the highest quality critical, emergency, and non-emergency mobile healthcare to the community patients we serve.
We will achieve these goals by offering second to none prehospital services, first response education standards, medical equipment, and emergency medical vehicles.
We are committed to embracing the theory of “pre-hospital” and challenging the status quo.
We strive for excellence and are committed to quality.
We will serve our community with a commitment to diligent resource management and fiscal responsibility.
Services
Emergency Medical Response Volunteers (EMRV) is dedicated to reducing preventable death and disability by improving access to prehospital emergency care for at-risk and vulnerable populations by supporting emergency medical response in more remote rural/urban communities through increased treatment options and deployment of medical first responders with enhanced Community First Responder volunteers (CFRVs), who are available to be dispatched by a control centre and attend medical emergencies in their local area. CFRVs are members of the public, who have received basic training in life-saving interventions such as defibrillation, off duty ambulance staff, or professionals from a non-medical discipline who may be nearby or attending emergencies, such as firefighters or security officers.
